DTS/PTS release 07 Oct 2024

Versione: DTS.L3.030.00 (07/Oct/2024)

List of changes and new features

  1. Slight user interface redesign. Improved interface for mobile from smartphones and tablets.

    DASHBOARD
  2. Individual notification sections (commitments, services, reminders, …) can now be closed or opened via the ‘-+’ icon next to the section title. However, the number of rows present is always shown. In their personal area (Info) each user can decide whether, by default, sections are opened or closed each time they enter Dashboard. This can be very useful to have a clearer and cleaner view in cases where you have many daily rows of services, commitments and reminders.
  3. The menu area on the left has been redesigned. It now shows all the options and top-level menus that when opened will show all the available options.

    GDB
  4. On the master data tab you can indicate any contract/price list to be applied to the name. This indication will be used in any files in the name’s name. Please note that you can create contracts/price lists with dedicated prices (in Dashboard: -> Contracts and -> Price lists).

    FILES
  5. In both Sales and Operations in the “General” tab a new text field called “Order Ref.” has been added and can be used to note any references or order codes of the customer. Very useful in the case of institutional clients and/or awarded bids where the requester provides their own reference. It is, however, an additional a notes field available for other uses as well!

  6. Personal notes in the file: this new feature has been added that allows a user to create their own personal notes in each file. Personal notes are NOT visible to other users and are only visible within the file management. The function can be called up via the icon . The icon also indicates the presence of notes if it is green or no notes inserted if it is grey.

  7. As we have seen, a ‘contract/list’ field has been added to the GDB master data. Let us see how this impacts a file. The ‘contract/list’ field has always been available in the ‘General’ tab and will continue to be able to be managed manually.
In the case of choosing a shipper that has the ‘contract/list’ field in its master data sheet valorized, the value is also automatically reported in the ‘contract/list’ field of the file, and in the “Price List” tab the selected items will report the price possibly stated in the contract/list set.
We can also exploit this functionality at a higher level and that is to use a price class to be applied when a specific Booking Agent is used. In this case we do NOT need to assign a price list to the shipper but we do need to assign it to the Booking Agent (in the GDB). When we open a file related to the Booking Agent in question his contract/list will become the one used in the file.
P.S. BEWARE because the priority of the contract/list is always that of the shipper.

  8. the following new filter fields (in the Advanced Search) have been added to both the quote practice list and the operational practice list:
    – Contract/List
    – Check
    – Order Ref.

    SERVICE CALENDAR
  9. performance improvement. Loading time in case of large number of services has been slightly optimized and improved.
  10. display of a single calendar day has been introduced. The display can be activated via the icon in the day pane (as in the commitmnets calendar) or via the new day selector found next to the month selector.

    CALENDAR COMMITMENTS/SERVICES
  11. performance enhancement. The day selector next to the month selector has also been introduced in this calendar.

    SYNCHRONIZATION WITH GOOGLE CALENDAR
  12. One-way synchronization from DTS/PTS to Google calendar (not vice versa) of work services and user commitments has been implemented in this version. The integration is in beta version.
Need to create any Google accounts and special Google API configurations to be accessible from external software such as DTS/PTS.
The service has no monthly fee but only an activation fee to prepare the technical environment, testing and necessary configurations. Those interested can ask for more information.
